Creating the 'L0veBug' character


Creating the main face of the game, the 'lovebug' who is a love interest and central character of my game required many hours which were dedicated to figuring out elements of designs from similar characters to communicate the personality which i wished to achieve with N.icoLE. The first things i figured out was characters from similar types of medias which would be good to compare my idea for her personality and design to. GIFfany and Monika were both two tech-based characters who had an obsessive love with someone and I wanted to see which elements of their design such as GIFfanys very over exaggerated traits such as her bow and hair while with Monika I was inspired more by her cunning and manipulative personality.


I put a lot of though during the development into the characters and creating a matching aesthetic and its helped me to learn a lot about UI and graphic design!
